3 x 3 Postgraduate Basketball Tournament

3x3

The tournament, which is open to master's and Phd students and academic and administrative staff.

The tournament is planned to be played in November.

PLAYING RULES

Only master's and PhD students and academic and administrative staff can play in tournament.

Teams will consist of at least 3 people and at most 5 people.

Matches will be played in half court

A team must start the match with at least 3 players. If 3 players are not ready at the start of the match, that team loses the match by default. If there are 2 people left during the match, the game continues. If only 1 person remains, the team automatically loses the match.

Defeat by default is 10-0.

Matches will be played over 20 minutes. The referee will keep the game time and the clock will only be stopped due to injury or similar reasons. External interruption of this will not stop the time

The first team to score in the overtime period wins.

Time is stopped only in the last 1 minute of the match and, if applicable, in the last 1 minute of overtime. The referee will announce to the teams how many seconds are left.

Per team has 1 time-out and it will be 1 minute.

Player changes are made with the permission of the referee.

There is no player fault limitation.

If a player repeatedly makes mistakes and, at the discretion of the referee, does so deliberately, he is first warned and informed that the next mistake will result in out of the game. With his next foul, he is out of the game.

Team fault limit is 5.

2 shots are used for subsequent fouls. Two unsportsmanlike throws are used and are put into play by the same team.

There is no 24 second period. If the referee sees if the team is coming off the attack, he then awards the ball to the opposing team. This issue is at the discretion of the referee.

3 and 8 second rules do not apply, only the 5 second rule applies.

There is no jump ball, the match starts with a toss. The start of the next play is made according to the throw-in order.

After each point, the game starts from inside the semicircle under the basket.

No interference can be made to the player inside the semicircle.

All baskets are 1 point. Points scored outside the 3-point line are worth 2 points

In case of technical fouls, 1 shot and a throw-in are given.

The team that reaches 21 points before the time runs out will be awarded the match, the 2 point difference rule does not apply.
